I got a pancake for my NEX-5 on eBay, there was someone selling pulls for 150$USD earlier. Seems you can get it even lower right now due to the holidays (~120CAD).
If you get the pancake, get the wide angle adapter at the same time. I find that the 18-55 is the most versatile and there's very few cases where I'd prefer the 16mm (ie: when I need the wide angle or when I need the extra F-stop due to bad lighting). The pancake is otherwise not very useful and the lack of zoom tends to make you miss some really good shots (cropping tends to not cut it).

The pancake lens is pretty crap. I might have used mine less then half a dozen times in the last 3 years.
It's very soft in the corners and makes the picture looked stretched...like stretch mode on a tv.

I doubt there are plenty stock out there, if any.
On Boxing Day I went into the FS store at Dundas Square @10AM, and they had no stock on the 5R's... the sales said they had only one in stock earlier that morning and since was sold out...for those in GTA, good luck finding one. Nice camera though, the hybrid AF may be overated but overall a logical evolution from the older 5N.

Same, I got mien for 170ish a couple years ago. I use the Nex to replace my point and shoot not SLR (7d)
So I prefer to have somehting that can fit in my pocket when I go out to restaurants, or events with friends. The NEX does super well in low lighting. If you have a flash, you only really need it for places like nightclubs or something where it's practically pitch dark.,

Wow hot price for this product if you can find it
The $429 Olympus e-pm2 is pretty decent as well I think also more lenses for m4/3
But you do get larger sensor with Sony for $100 more not bad at all

the 5R + 16-50mm is a great kit but Sony needs to improve the edge sharpness on the 16-50.
