Nice lens, so tempted to get this. Missed out on the Nex-5R still happy with my Nex-5 for now ... Good price with B&H.. recently bought my LX7 there and super fast shipping! Alternative is Henrys.ca Sigma Lens sale at $179.99 + taxes ($89 savings), keeping spending in Canada for a few more dollars.

Bought my 5R for $800 from Henry's, but it came with a 55-210 in addition to the 18-55. just wondering now if I should get this package and see if I can pick up a 55-210 for less than 270.

The Sigma 30mm is hands down the best lens for the NEX for the price. Its extremely sharp and often compared to the Zeiss 24mm which is about 8 times the price lol.

I'm actually selling mine right now. If anyone in Vancouver is interested I'm selling it for $150 (I ordered the 35mm).

I was thinking about this when I came back from the xmas trip. But the expensive price of Sony's 18-135mm all range len is the greatest turn off. I hate changing lens when I need to take a quick shot.

eventhough i spent $800 on my Nex-5, I am still quite happy with it. $529 for the 5R is a steal IMHO

Just print out your order invoice.. and take it to the returns desk they will give you back 70 dollars + 7 for the price match.. not bad for just checking RFD! You don't need to have received the shipment

Too bad it's oos on BB and FS. Awesome price for 5R. Bought the 5N on ebay back in Aug (just a month or two before 5R released) with EVF for $687. Great lil camera. Not that I really needed 5R, but thx to mention in this post, I'll probably end up getting the sigma 30mm. Seems like a nice lens for price.

For the sigma 30mm, keep in mind that you'll lose the 10 year warranty if you get it from the states. Only 1 year international warranty and gentec (the Canadian distributor for sigma) will charge $50.

I got mine from bhphotovideo during black friday only for henry's to drop their price to $180+tax during boxing day. Oh well,... Can't win them all lol.
