Nov 27th, 2005 09:59 AM #3If you are in GTA then you should probably contact the store. I tried online to verify their stock at the Markham branch and it came back as sold out online. Good thing I went to the store to actually verify this.

Should I have gotten the BB extended warranty?
At the point of purchase, the salesperson asked whether I would be willing to pay an additional $15 for a 2 year warranty on the printer. I am now wondering whether it was a bad idea to have turned it down? Also, is it possible to go back afterwards (I bought it on 25/11/2005) and purchase the extended warranty? If not, must I return the one I have and re-purchase it so that the extended warranty would be on the same invoice?

Nov 28th, 2005 12:43 PM #8On the other hand, the PSC 1317 can (optionally) do 6-color photo printing and use 19ml/17ml/17ml black/color/photo cartridges. (It comes with 10ml/8ml black/color ones). The PSC 1401 will only work with 5ml/5ml black/color cartridges.

Nov 28th, 2005 12:47 PM #10You did the right thing for turning it down. Now don't look back. THe extended warranty is useless for printers (and many many other items). Printers are dirt cheap. The expensive part is the ink. Consider the printer disposable. This is how cheap printer is these days.

Nov 28th, 2005 02:53 PM #11The PSC 1401 at Wal-Mart does not seem to enable the connection to a digital camera on the front nor to media cards like other higher end models of the 1400 or end of the line 1300 series.

Nov 28th, 2005 11:18 PM #12Yep, went by the Wal-Mart at Markville Mall in Markham, ON. They had 4 of them still in stock placed on the top shelf of the electronics dept. Took a look at it and there is indeed no PictBridge connection available. I guess that explains the $10 difference versus the 1315v at Best Buy.

Excellent. Thanks OP.. I had just bought this printer 13 days ago and I went back today, there were none on the shelves, there wasn't even the sign for it and its sold out online, but they give me a price adjustment anyway, no questions asked

Be prepared to return it shortly after using it.
Total and complete garbage with expensive ink.
Caveat Emptor.

Nov 30th, 2005 06:44 AM #15You always have 30 days to go back and get the extended warranty. All you need is your receipt since it has the serial number on it.
