$420 is a great price. Considering the ipad 4 is usually $399.

Is it back to school sale or because of new version coming in September?

Both?

There should be a new one this fall if not September.

edit: FYI it is target.com, its US site
Those with a Red Card can get an extra 5% on top of the PM price, which brings it to under $400.

Just to point out, the product pages for the iPad Air on FS and BB both state "sale ends August 27th", today.

Also, BB and FS Insignia give you a free "tablet cleaner and six months of McAfee LiveSafe INCLUDED with the purchase of any iPad ($60 value)."

Do you think you could price match at Apple and still get the 55$ gift card?

Good price.

However, I'm waiting for the new model. TouchID and 2 GB RAM (hopefully) are easily worth $100 more IMO.

16go was tight space with the 1st gen iPad 4.5yrs ago.
Without a microsd expansion slot, I would stay away from this one!

Yes. If they have a gift card with purchase you would still get that also.

I agree. One of the reasons I went with a Tab S. Our iPad is always full.

I think Apple needs more innovation. I have been a long time Apple fan, but the new iPad Air just didn't get enough innovation to motivate me from upgrading my iPad. I hope something much better will come out soon as I was tempted by the Galaxy Tab S with that beautiful screen.

I prefer 32 GB, but 16 GB is fine for a lot of people. OTOH, a friend of mine thinks even 64 GB is limiting.

ie. Not everyone has the same storage needs.
