BB: Viewsonic Optiquest 19" Widescreen LCD Monitor (Q191WB) - $220
Q191WB Product Details :
1440 x 900 , 650:1 , 5ms. No DVI , $220 is a reasonable price.
For the similar price, you can get a Samsung 941BW @Futureshop,
which is 1440 x 900, 500:1 , 4ms, DVI . I'd rather go this Viewsonic
one, because I need more contrast ratio than DVI. Which one do you like?

Viewsonic warranty sucks, research on Google for all the horror stories.
Samsung makes excellent LCD panels, not to mention DVI is a necessary feature for LCD IMO. The stated difference in contrast ratio is small. Different manufacturers measure the ratio in different ways so in reality there may actually be no difference between the two panels.
Also, keep in mind that you are comparing the Viewsonic budget line (Optiquest), to the Samsung SyncMaster.

Thanks a lot for your valuable opinion. I'd consider the Samsung one.
Do you know which panel is the Samsung 941BW? I know Samsung original
panel is expensive, so may be 941BW use OEM panel.

I picked up this monitor a few weeks ago at Best Buy
Initial overall impressions are very good, I didnt need the DVI cause im already using the DVI for my TV, I just needed a secondary monitor and so far this monitor has been very good im very happy
This was on sale a few weeks ago as well, but when i went to Scarborough BB I found an open box model, no dead pixels or anything, so I went for that one isntead
the guy gave it to me for 199.99
but as long as u dont need the dvi, it is a good monitor
