BB: Viewsonic VX2435wm 24" LCD Monitor $450
From the flyer. Starting on Friday this monitor is on sale at Best Buy for $450 or you could buy it today I guess and get price protection on Friday. It's a monitor/HDTV hybrid. It doesn't have DVI but does have HDMI and VGA and includes a HDMI-DVI-D cable. It is a P-MVA panel not a TN panel.

Not a bad price -- good to see these 24"ers are dropping in Price. It's even sweeter that this isn't a TN panel (which my 22" Viewsonic is... :S )

IMO, I wouldn't even consider a monitor of this size if it doesn't have swivel / height adjustment.

There are unfortunately a few things that bug me with this monitor or i would have bought it.
the blue power LED is too powerful and gets annoying to look at.
no swivel and a huge bezel .
integrated speakers which are useless.
and of course no DVI input.
=/
i hope the LG 24" or BenQ 24" would fall in price soon to this level._______________

And from one of the reviews it said there were noticeable ghosting issues since it is 20ms. To buy or not...

It's 8ms.
And if it's the same panel as the LG 24', it's a smoking hot deal since this panel has less input lag than all 24' LCD and less ghosting than the Dell 2407WFP.

I would pay the extra $50 and get the Samsung 245BW. It has a better response time, height adjustment and dvi out.

Nah, the Samsung is cheap for a reason: it's a 6-bit TN panel and probably comes with the "Samsung lottery", lol.
And the ghosting should be about the same as the first revision 2407WFP, 20ms, so noticeable. The new revision Dells are fine with ghosting but now there's the new banding issue.
Now I read it has proper 1:1 pixel mapping so that's a major plus for me and my 360 Elite. Hmmm. I wish they would hook up the monitors to a gaming rig so you could see the ghosting and banding and 6-bit vs 8-bit differences for yourself. The 1024x768 uniform slideshow they play on all the monitors really doesn't help with anything.

I feel your pain.
I'm taking back to Samsung 245BW to Future Shop today that I got for $450. The TN panel just doesn't cut it for me - I thought it might, I wanted to try, but it didn't.
This Viewsonic is quite the opposite - same price I paid for, but it's a MVA panel, so it should do me quite well. But I'm struggling now, do I really want a monitor that looks like THAT?
And by the way, the Dell is $150 more expensive, not just $50. Otherwise I would've picked one up already. I'm still contemplating whether or not I should just go with a Dell.. the Gamma reproduction on that thing is awesome at 92%.._______________-->> pick up a cheap all in one! <<--
Samsung All-In-One only $49!
