Wow people I know are going to go camp in front of the store (rouyn-Noranda PQ)at 10pm today, they think they might make a profit by selling on ebay, if not they will keep it. I really dont think they can make a profit on ebay...

well, as of today, just the system is going for about $550cdn on ebay, so I'm sure they could turn a profit...just not sure if it'd be worth the wait to do that for $200.

Just checked, only a few will actually sell for $500 it seems, others are bundled with LCD tvs etc. lol, but keep in mind these are still preorders...you'll see a huge drop in price once they rls me thinks

DAMN it, i dropped by BB to make sure things were in order, there were already 20 campers. The store said on Friday there would be 100 units but the sign said they only got a portion and have 55 units for launch.

bb sherway location has 96 units, and if i remember correctly oakville bb had 120 units. There was one more bb location with over 100 units but i can't remember which one it was right now. good luck to whomever is going out to grab a wii!

really? i thot they said at least 15 units per store.. if every store was getting 4-5 times that amount, they could've just said at least 50 or so at each store.. doesn't make sense though, because there are only 1 million units for launch, only 1.5x more than PS2 (400K), so supply shouldn't be THAT different.

It could be quite different because Nintendo may have allocated more units to Canada then Sony. I know Microsoft had alloted ALOT more consoles to Canada then Sony due to the amount Best buy and futureshop had(and EBgames)

Err, check your arithmetic again...theres more than twice as many Wiis as there were PS3s (2.5x more to be exact)


OH and wanted to ask how many PS3s did the STC BB have? I called them and they said they have 3x as many Wiis as they had PS3s

Nintendo is shipping 1 Million for launch.. and a total of 4 Million by Christmas, the Wii will not sell for great profit like the PS3 at all.

I just drove by my local walmart, they had 3 campers, and 63 units available, and they open early (7am) to sell wiis

When you say "Fairview location", do you mean the BestBuy in Kitchener?
