I can confirm this works beautifully, almost maxing out the 5mb/800k 24/7 with no bandwidth shaping ever. You are a fool not to leave bell and do this, a fool. The only reason big companies exist and get away with this crap is from customer apathy, stand up for yourself for a change with your wallet.

Is there no throttling on Teksavvy? Will this thread help me get around that issue? I'm planning to leave Sympatico if they don't offer me the same rates as the one I'm currently paying.

Yes, it will.

I'm using an Alcatel DSL modem that I used with Sympatico five years ago coupled with Tomato-flashed WRT54GL.

No throttling at all, I still get giddy and laugh at Bell and Robbers whenever I look at my download speed.

What confused me when I first read this thread was the following:

2 x any adsl modems that can be put in full bridge bridge mode

Then after reading through the entire thread, I concluded that the additional modem is only needed if you are using 2 DSL lines...that being said, shouldn't you mention that 1x any ADSL modem be "optional" exactly how you have the DSL lines listed?

Does Teksavvy allow simulataneous logons? What I means is being logged on and active at home and using the same account at another location with an active DSL line. I know this can be done with Bell.

Yes, that's what makes MLPPP possible when used over two lines...

Anything Bell can do, Teksavvy can better , but Teksavvy can do some things Bell cannot do at all (like MLPPP)

it is possible with any pppoe provider. but it will use double the bandwidth.
