Yes, that's correct. There is now a version of DD-WRT that's compatible with MLPPP. It was released on Feb 5/2010 and I'm using it right now withTekSavvy.
Scroll halfway down this thread for the link:
http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtop...fcadd116e9d129
Once enabled, you'll need to change your MTU size (on the router) from 1492 to 1442 due to the added overhead of 50 bytes, otherwise Internet browsing will not work.

Single link PPP with DD-WRT, not bad at all. I believe it's time to upgrade to Wifi-N!!! Tomato only supported Wifi-G routers.

I assume this still requires the purchase of the additional $4 MLPPP package that Teksavvy offers?

What is this $4 package? I'm thinking of switching to TekSavvy but I don't see the $4 package for MLPPP on their site.

What are the differences between modems you can buy? If they cap you at 5mbps anyway what good is a better modem?

you dont have to get a static ip for mlppp. but its $4 for mlppp and static. If you only want mlppp its still $4.
The difference between modems is that the more expensive ones have extra Ethernet ports and function as a basic router. not really necessary if u already have a router

You don't HAVE to pay for mlppp. Velcom is compatable with mlppp and costs nothing extra.
Keep in mind tho, they offer no support for it since its just an extra perk you dont pay for. I've never used Teksavvy before so I can't compare if its better then Velcom. Some people claim it is. I can tell you I have absolutely no problems with mlppp on Velcom tho.
I'm glad I have the option to use a Wireless N router if I want to now.
Is there a list anywhere of what ones are compatable? Or can anyone suggest what one is the best one out there? Im might want to change over. I'm using Linksys WRT54GL right now

The most interesting ones are the Asus RT-N10/N12/N16. All draft N and only recently supported by DD-WRT. The low end N10 is well below $50 with only a single antenna and 100mbit lan. On the other end is the N16 which is fully loaded with a 480mhz processor, 2x usb ports, more ram and flash memory than you would ever use for only $100.

Nice have this for option for newer N routers but installing this looks to be more complex then building whole computer system. I think I stick to Tomato and my Asus and Linksys G routers.

nice post op. i will incorporate your find into by beat the bell throttle page.
i wonder why the author of this firmware who modified this flavor did not incorporate multiple mlppp sessions and only allowed single??_______________
