[Bed Bath And Beyond] Shark Rotator Lift-Away Vacuum NV502 - $207.99 After Coupon

Shark compares itself to Dyson's DC41 premium-priced vacuum and claims to exceed what Dyson offers at a much lower price.

Reviews seem to back up Shark's exceptional claims with most being four or five stars across thousands of customer testimonials.

And if you don't like/need the mop, get it from Bed Bath and Beyond for $259.99 and use the 20% coupon, which is emailed to you after you subscribe to their newsletter, comes to $207.99 before tax.

According to Amazon this is the same as the NV501 but includes a car kit?

Anyways I've budgeted $500 for a new vacuum. I live in a small one bedroom apartment and over the last six years have used 2 different ~$150 Hoover/Dirt Devil vacuums from Wal-Mart. I thought if I wanted something to last 5+ years I'd have to spend ~$500+ on a nice Miele or Dyson vacuum...then I started reading the great reviews of this vacuum (the nv501 anyways) and it's regularly been on sale for around $150 or less! So should I get this or buy a Miele cannister vacuum? I don't care about the cost of bags, I won't be going through a lot of them...and I heard they exhaust cleaner air. I don't mind emptying the bagless vacuums either, I've been doing it for years. Just need some recommendations please.

Thanks!

i have this vacuum and really like it. the lift away function is great and was exactly what I was looking for, and the look and build quality are fantastic. I'm quite proud of this purchase.

If i had to point out cons, I'd have to say that I am not a fan of the retractable hose. It's convenient for storage but the elasticity is too high and stretching the hose for too long can seem like a workout for your arms. Also, the hose makes the unit act a bit clumsy, sometimes may topple over.

Other than that, it's extremely powerful, especially with the carpet roller. Easy to maneuver as well.

I got this from CT minus the car kit for $199, it's great, I love the 3 vacs in one, so convenient, just cleaned my car with it yesterday. Highly recommend if you need a great new vacuum.

I got the same model a couple months ago with the 20% coupon. It's suction is excellent. I Cleaned 2 floors and had to empty canister twice. Coming from an el cheapo Bissell model (that did not even get half full after cleaning 2 floors), this is miles ahead. Have not used the car kit yet. The Lift Away function is useful.

Overall, I would recommend it, comes with a bunch of features for its price.

This review is pretty detailed:
