If you drive down the Niagara River Parkway (street that runs north and south along side the falls) away from the horseshoe (north) there are TONS of B&B located directly off the parkway. Its quiet, the houses look pretty nice and there are bike rentals near by if your up for a nice bike ride.
Best route off the highway is take QEW to 405 (towards USA / Queeston Lewiston Bridge) get off at Stanley Ave, last exit in Canada. Make a left at the stop sign on the off ramp. Make a right at the stop / yield sign. follow Portage rd until the traffic circle in Queenston heights park. Make a right at the traffic circle and follow niagara parkway past the floral clock and you will see all the B&B off the side of the road

hey, wow responses! thanks much fellas,
looking to spend like.. how much does a night usually go for? I guess i'll be looking at $200 for 2 people?? probably a place that isn't too far from a wine tasting tour is what im hoping for..
has anyone had any good wine-tasting tours as well? A friend of mine went and he said it was only $2 for the entire tour!???
cheers
EDIT: I am looking here:

Aug 2nd, 2006 09:53 AM #6Dude just go to hotwire.com and get a price it's probably cheaper there ...well i find that to be true...just indicate where in niagara..since you aren't doing the falls ...probably get a cheap price under 200 easily in a reputable place....have fun with the lady friend...or guy friend..or which ever gender you prefer

You can get rooms at the casino for like $139 a night (non falls view) and just over $200 for fallsview,
you wont have a problem finding a B&B.
I was there 2 fridays ago and there was plenty of vacancy off the niagara river parkway. places looked real nice too

here's the info on the wine tour..i was staying in N on the Lake when i took the tour and it wasn't too far, i don't imagine it should be that far from the Falls area. Very nice place, big & modern!
