but the final result of ZERO is still the same

OP, I don't like "÷" notation since it can go both ways. It could be 100 x 2 / (2 + 10 - 8) or 100 x 2/2 + 10 - 8. If it's the latter, then the answer is 102.

-8+10x2/2+100 = 102
10+100x2/2-8 = 102

its easier since x2/2 cancel out lol

Lets try this out:

100 x 2 ÷ 2 + 10 - 8 (problem)
100 x 1 + 10 - 8 (divided 2 by 2 = 1)
100 + 10 - 8 (multiplied 100 by 1 = 100)
110 - 8 (add 10 to 100 = 110)
= [B]102[/B] (100 subtract 8)

Another way to see it is to bracket everything that is either multiplied or divided (which I do to make things easier to see)

(100 x 2 / 2) + 10 - 8 = 102

Edit: I feel like I'm getting trolled here...

Edit 2: If there's no bracket in the problem, then assume there's no bracket. There's only one possible answer here.

It is:

100 x 2 / 2 + 10 - 2
So multiplication first:
200 divided by 2 + 10
16.6666666666666666666666666666667 - 8
Equals
12.6666666666666666666666666666667

We have had math problems on here before and they go on forever without end. As another poster suggested it depends on if you mean 100 x 2 / (2 + 10 - 8) or 100 x 2/2 + 10 - 8.
