Before Sunset in Canada?
Any one know when it will be coming to Canada? It opened in a few theatres on July 2 in the States... Friend of mine is really bugging me about this one.

Hi, does anyone know where this is playing in Toronto? I couldn't find any info at the contest link or official site.

Jul 5th, 2004 09:06 AM #5Like Kenny said, wide release is July 9, and that includes Toronto. I am so looking forward to this one. I rerented Before Sunrise this weekend to get back into the story. I was about the same age as the characters when this movie first came out, so I really related to their early 20-something angst. I am really curious to see how their characters have matured.

It looks like when it hits Toronto on Friday it is only play in 3 or 4 theaters.. Unforunately none in Oakville (so Ryan, you will have to head into Toronto if you want to see if opening weekend!)..
I am really looking forward to seeing this.. even as a guy
Before Sunrise was one of my favourite "romantic" movies of all time. I could totally relate to it because of my travels and meeting people that I didn't want to say "bye" to along the way!!

Loved it! Loved it! Loved it fiercely! Maybe even more than LOTR! But I was surprised to see that it was not in any of the big cineplexes; it was only playing in 2 repertoire theatres here in Montreal. And I saw this morning that overall, it was only playing in 63 cinemas in North America.
A few teenagers walked out early on (it's really best to have seen Before Sunrise, in order to grasp the depth of the connection between Jesse and Celine), but the rest of the audience was just laughing and crying the whole way. It was wonderful to be in the middle of such a wave of love coming from the audience toward the movie.
A few interviews, for the obsessed:

People have probably found out the info for themselves but for anyone that cares, it's playing at the Cumberland, Silvercity North York and Canada Square

When I worked on opening day, it was doing pretty decent so it should be around for another week but who knows.._______________
i think this line's mostly filler

I finally got a chance to see Before Sunset.. You should see the first one before you see this one... The friend I went with hadn't seen the first one, and although she liked it, I think she would have liked it even more if she had seen Before Sunrise...
It left a lasting impression on me... I could really relate to a lot of stuff in the movie.. With meeting people in my travels, with my time spend in Paris, etc, etc.
I would definitely recommend it for people that are interested in something different. The movie is pretty much ALL the two characters talking which makes it so unique.. especially since it is not at all boring..

This movie is coming out on DVD in early November. They are re-releasing Before Sunrise as well! Too bad the price at Chapters is so expensive! I have a chapters gift certificate so I would rather buy it from there.

Has anyone gotten the Before Sunrise/Sunset DVD set? I haven't seen it in stores, and I'm contemplating ordering it online.
If you do have it, is the 2 DVD set the Before Sunrise DVD and the Before Sunset DVD arriving in the mail together, or does the combination set have special packaging? Do the DVDs have ANY bonus features?

I think they arrive together, no special packaging, and no special features (well, trailer, basic cast bios...nothing interesting).
Based on the ones I've seen in stores, it's the old release of Before Sunrise with the new movie, and both are sealed together in plastic.

I ordered it from amazon.ca using a $10 off coupon from the refer-a-friend program (for new customers). It worked out to around $22 (after adding some extra stuff to get free shipping).
DVDsoon has it back for $26 or so, as per a PM that someone sent me last night.
There is nothing special at all about it .. Hopefully for the 10 year anniversary they will do a re-release with commentary,etc... (that is next year).
It is basically just 2 DVDs wrapped in plastic like Headhunter said.
