I know this thread is old and will probably get locked, but I must add that I loved both of these movies (Before Sunrise and Before Sunset). It was really well done and so engaging. It really felt like we knew these characters and we feel bad when they feel bad. When they are happy, we are happy. It felt as if we were actually there with them walking through the streets of Vienna (Before Sunrise) and Paris (Before Sunset). I didn't even know about this movie until end of last year when I was searching for "After The Sunset" I'm so glad I ended up watching these two movies. I bought the two pack from Futureshop for $27.97 and it was definately worth it. If you get the chance, you should watch these movies, but don't go in with super high hopes because you might be disappointed then.

The entertainment threads aren't locked for old content. Only the Hot Deals threads I believe.... Glad you bumped it up though, because they are great movies and I hope others see them.. Some may find them boring but those that like them will really like them...

Has anyone picked up the soundtrack yet? I keep meaning to, but haven't gotten around to it.

loved them both myself....will wait for the third one in 9-10 years :-)
if u like dialogue-based movies with fewest props, i'll strongly recommend 'tape', also by richard linlater, with ethan hawke, uma thurman, and robert sean leanord....the whole movie is set up in just one room...and shot like a single take (though not actually a single take)...loved that too

For those that didn't know, Richard Linklater's Waking Life had a Delpy/Hawke reunion scene. This took place between the 2 movies...

This was defintely one of the best films I'd seen last year.
Basically, there was no hard scripts, alot of interaction/dialog is what hawke and delpy came out with on the fly. Really shows you the chemistry they have.
The first one is good, but the sequle is much better. What I like the best is the fact that the sequel is not made to grab some quick cash. In fact, since the Before Sunrise is not that well know, most studios would not have made the sequel.
I also like the fact that the movie takes place in real time. So 2 hours of the movie takes place in 2 hour time. Really neat.
If you haven't seen it, you should. I'd recommend watching the Before Sunrise first though.
Now, must check out Waking life.

I just saw Before Sunrise for the first time a few days ago and really loved it (which is really hard to do as I think Ethan Hawke is a pretentious tool). It reminded me of my travels and experiences as well and Jesse and Celine had amazing chemistry. Can't wait to see Before Sunset.
