same here first no $20 credit then PVR was refurb was had to be switched out and I was billed for the service call, and they also started charging me for the free rental and forgot the $20 credit. I had to get the service call, new rental charges and the $20 all credited and the late charges Six months later I had my first correct bill. My mother, father in law and brother in law all had the same erred billing issues. Very annoying.....

I called in and got rent reduced on my receivers (and now I'm on the plan where I own them in 3 years) and a 25% reduction in programming costs for a total of $32 off per month. Sweeeeet. Thanks all!

I have only TV with Bell. I just called and told them I want to cancel and they didn't offer me absolutely anything. Is it possible that they didn't offer any discounts because I still have 6 months left on my contract with them?

When you called in did you select the cancelation option or if you called customer service did they transfer you over.
Last month I called and still had 11 months remaining and my $10 credit was expiring. I selected the cancelation option and was on the phone for maybe 10 min and they gave me a $20 credit for 1 year

check back again
For 3 years in a row, I was able to get 30%, 20%, and 20% off my monthly Expressvu bill. Last week, I called the retention dept to get another 1-year of 20% off, but they said they didn't have that discount anymore. They said occasionally, they can offer $10 or $15 but last week, he was only able to give $5 max. I insisted on more, so he suggested calling back every week since they get new mandates on their maximums they allowed to give to retain customers.

I called on February 27th, and cancelled, and was forwarded to Retention.
They could only offer bundling, which was lame, so I cancelled.
I was going to wait until Thursday, and then call back and try to re-negotiate, but they beat me to the punch, calling me honestly 5 minutes before I was going to call them.
So, on a no-contract basis. I got 30% off for the year, a free HD PVR plus free installation, and reduced movie package ($11/month for six months). It's not great, but it's okay.

I called retention s and they only offered a 5$/month credit for 12 months. Has anyone else from Quebec managed to get the 20$ off each month? They also offered me the Home Phone Basic promotion with Call Display including all fees for 24.95$ as well.

I called feb 22 and they gave me $20 a month. got my bill and it was not on it, called billing who then transferred me to a rude b*tch who told me that the $20 offer that I was given was not allowed and they declined it. So now she said the best she can do is $5 . Being transferred to retention now, but what I paid, for them to offer you one thing, then a month later charge you.
Even better is that the note on my file was to "inform the client" yet no one called me, she said "they do not call customers" .... so I guess inform was in case I called back complaining.
Why does it have to be so hard to deal with bell some times -sigh-

I've got a friend who's interested in the free PVR rental for 3 years. He's a current Bell subscriber. Is it still being offered? I haven't seen many posts lately on this, so I wasn't sure if it still was. He has no problem calling into retentions.

Ive been basically getting $20 of a month now for 3 years because of this thread,
But they recently mailed me something with a twist. Rent the for $6.92 a month and its rent to own. It used to be $20, but the $20 rebate got it for free more or less.
I still get the $20 off a month, since it wasnt off the rental, just off the package I have.
Im the type that wonders why would a company offer something good like this, likes its to good to be true.
Is it because they have new models that I could get. Ive had no issues with my PVR for the last 4.5 years.
What are the advantages to the new ones.
Also, who else got this letter in the mail

I'm going back to Cali, rising, surprising, Advising realizing, she's sizing me up - Her bikini - small; heels - tall - She said, she liked, the ocean
She showed me a beach, gave me a peach - and pulled out the suntan lotion

So I was told the DVR 20 dollar rental/credit is done.
I was given a rental of 13.86 with a credit of 13.86 (so my bill is the same after credit) and I own the DVR after 36 months.
6 of one, half dozen of the other.
I was not offered any other discounts

Not sure what the DVR 20 dollar thing is. The free PVR is 13.86, so I assume then that you're saying it's still being offered?

I called for a friend's account, and they only gave me 5$ off for his account too. Maybe the 20$ credit really is discontinued.
