Bell ... man.. they annoy me..

THe retention lady offered some LD plan... I said "yeah, I don't want to pay a network charge" and she said there was NO Network charge. I had a hard time believing it. Sure enough I get my bill and there is a network charge on it!

BS

Going to call and complain now

Me too... Errrrrr... What is the result of your phone call?

what did you ask? or how did you ask? I'm planning on calling too to save the family some money, but unsure what I'm asking them other than give me some money. lol

You can call the cancellation department (someone posted the number earlier) and just tell them you want to cancel your home phone service because rogers is offering you a $120 credit. They are going to try to retain you as a customer, and will offer you some kind of credit ($45 credit or $75 credit)

The direct phone line to Bell's Retention Department is 1-888-515-2222 (as given to me by the rep after I called the previously posted 1-888-378-2355 by Double J).
Called the Bell Retention department and told them i'm leaving for Rogers as they are offering home phone service for $19.95 for 1st year and free Rogers - Rogers Canada wide long distance calling. Rep offered me $75 credit on my next Bell bill if I stay with them, which I accepted. I have a basic home phone line with Bell without any long distance plan or any extra features.

Thanks OP. Remember to call the phone number posted above.

thanks to the OP for posting this; basically u get a 75$ max credit posted on your account in 6-8 weeks (1-2 billing dates) and the CSR gives you a reference #;

you can call directly and the number is; 1800688-2355..

good luck, remember they first offer you 45$ and then increase to 75$..!!

cheers!
I called that number but was told it is wrong number... :confused:

Well here's something. Today i was calling Bell about getting a credit back and like by some divine intervention i get a call from Rogers telling me that they'll give me 6 months of phone service for free! and, they'll even give me a phone + the free long distance calls to Rogers and fido customers and bundled with my other sevices will save even more. Even when i do start paying it''s going to be cheaper for me than Bell. How could i refuse?

They only offered me $5 off per month for my landline. The CSR said they only offer the $75 credit as a "long distance" credit to customers who have their LD service with Bell. I only have landline service with Bell.
