Bell internet 300/100/unlimited 80$ no contract

Got a deal from Bell, better than Videotron 120 Mb. Hope it is not only for QC...
Included Hub 3000 and installation for free, only activation fee of 50$.
Don't know if it is available for existing customers...
Sorry if some consider it cold... No such CarryTel or others at that address (far from Montreal), so I have only Bell or Videotron as options.

Great price, but I don't believe bell will give you more than 8 months for this price.

Depends on what you mean by better.

With Ebox I'm paying 70 - 2$ group discount = 68$ before tax for 120mbps internet. (I get 135mbps btw)

I'd rather pay 12$ less (around 14$ with tax) for something that's more than fast, stable and unlimited.

Also, I don't need to deal with B[hell] which will most likely screw up the billing and force me to talk to someone in the Philippines or India to rectify the issue.

It's your choice. First, as I said, no ebox or similar there... 50 km far from Montreal. I just checked with Videotron and it is no internet provided by them there! Only Bell, and they give me fibe, and it is FTTH, not FTTN as others...
And if you think that 12$ can justify a 120 down/ 20 up versus 300/100, it's up to you...

Where do I find it in ongoing deals? I see only something for students, at 50 mb...

It has nothing with that student promo for 8 months... I am not a student. And I am not interested in promoting Bell services, even if I am satisfied with them. I still have their mobile plan with 3gb for 55$, which includes a 22$ per month toward a new phone, so it comes at 33$, not bad.
And being with no contact (on internet), even if they change it after 8 months I can choose other options (if I will have a better one...)

Well... Bell FTTH 300/100 is WAYYYY faster than Videotron (or ebox 120/20 offering), also unlimited and as stable if not more. You also get better ping.

I pay 48$ for Fibe Gigabit (1000/100) unlimited. Had Videotron 200/30 before and there's no comparison.

80$ for internet only 300/100 unlimited no contract is a great deal. I get my Gigabit internet for 48$ because I also have TV with them.

Agree with you.
If that gigabit at 48$ is available to anyone, please let us know how to get it. If not, you are a lucky guy who can't share his experience. I already had high speed internet for free, unlimited, during 10 years with Acanac, but that doesn't help others...
Speaking about performance. Right now, on another address that I have, I have a 25/25 with them. Now, at 9pm Saturday, having some others devices streaming movies in the same time, here are my ping and speed. Why not to be satisfied with them?

If I choose Internet alone the highest I see if Fibe 25. Where do you see Fibe 300 listed online?

The regular price is there, in their page, but capped at 400gb

Way faster but what's the point for 99.9% of users? At over 130Mbps I can stream 4K YouTube and Netflix without buffering and my very large downloads don't even take an hour.

Also, many download services cap the download speed on their servers, it won't go past a certain transfer rate regardless of how fast your internet connection is.

So basically 170$ more per year for something totally unnecessary and potentially useless.

When we get to the point where gigabit internet costs 5$ more than the internet for the average Joe, I'll think about it.

Until then, I'll be logical and look at the price/convenience ratio for my usage. I encourage others to do the same.
