Yes, you can call and try to cancel the order. And they may decide to cut you a break. The only way to find out is to call them and ask.
But that begs the question of why you signed a legally binding contract with Bhell before you explored what Robbers et al have to offer?
If you sold something to someone and they came back to you later that day to break the deal, would you let them?
P.S. Before you call Bhell be sure to read the terms and conditions of the contract you entered into with them to find out your options. They may or may not make exceptions but at least you'll know their opening position._______________

They weren't required to tell you any of this. However, you should have asked them and insisted that you wouldn't sign (or even verbally agree) to anything wiithout first reading the terms and conditions they would impose on you. Since you didn't do that, you're now at their mercy. I don't know how much cheaper Robbers will be so I can't comment on whether it's worth trying to fight Bhell on this. In any case, take this experience as a lesson to never agree to any legally binding contract without first familiarizing yourself with the terms and conditions.

You just signed up. Do you have service yet? or scheduling appointment for installations?
You signed up for monthly or a yearly contract with them?
Instead of asking here, call them before office hours end.

Well its not that bad. Since im getting bell business internet guarenteed with 7-10mbps down and 1mbps up. And no extra charge for over usage. I am in 3 years got 6 months for 47$ a month and on 7th month its 74$ a month. So basically i save 30$ a month on internet now i save 60$ a month since the max they charge for overages on residential internet is up to $80. Oh well
And no i do not have the service yet. Its getting installed on march 26
And i heard they auto renew your contract when it about to expire i that allowed or true?Last edited by Palidino; Mar 15th, 2012 at 02:37 PM.

Songman, its 10 days i think.
Would this work for me?

Under the Consumer Protection Act, 2002, you have the right to cancel an agreement and have your money returned to you if:
The contract is subject to a cooling off period. You have the absolute right to cancel (for any reason) within 10 days of receiving a written copy of the agreement.
The vendor has made a false, misleading or deceptive representation about the goods or services you agreed to buy or lease.
The information about the goods or services, or your rights as a consumer required by the Consumer Protection Act, are not provided to you in the agreement.

I talked with Bell some time ago, was about a business account though.
Their policy is that you pay 50% of your remaining contract.
So if you signed up for 3 years on $74 per month, they will charge you $1332 + tax. Probably a bit less if you take into account the reduced rate for the first 6 months.
Why wouldn't they be able to renew the contract all the time? It's probably well written in the terms you didn't bother to get/read.
People should learn to quit Bell and Rogers (unless no other option) and join the nice 3rd party companies like Acanac and Teksavvy, way better and fair.
