Bell raising price on 10G plan again

Just read Bell is again raising the price of the 10G plan. I signed up for $60, in March 2020 will be $70.

Enough is enough. Time to move. My bad for not expecting the worst from Bell.
I have 4 lines for my business (3 others with Koodo on good plans) but was ill over Christmas and missed the RBC business offer for Telus.
Seems like the $30 discount on 4 lines is down to $20 now.

Are there any other options, ideally which don't involve calling multiple times trying to get a friendly agent :)

So much easier in the US where there is actual competition.

I signed up on Fido for a $60 15 GB plan when they had it available last fall. I currently also have a free 3 GB add-on which makes it 18 GB.

I was so pissed. I switched from Fido to Telus to get that plan which was a total pain in the butt because everyone was trying to get that plan. Then a year later they jack up the price by $10 when Robbers and Hell went up only $5. After that I switched to Freedom. I pay $45 total for 8 gigs. That said, Freedom isnt for everyone. Coverage isnt as good or fast but for me I havent noticed a difference. I should have switched long ago.

That has to be the most infuriating answer from Bell. They make over a 3/4 of a billion in profit PER QUARTER. Why dont they reinvest that money instead of paying a dividend? God forbid the stock price hit. The stock market is so broken but thats a whole other conversation.

Honestly, **** Bell.

The moment Koodo or someone who does not do a constant annual rate increase offers a 10 GB plan or better I am gone and they will never see me again.

I also had the 10GB/60$ plan, ported away when price increased.

Kind of glad I chose Fido when the big price battle happened, now they're doing 15GB/50$ winback plans.

I recommend porting out ASAP. It's important to take away Bell's leverage of being the incumbent choice with marginal gains to be had from dealing with them. Maybe they'll come back with a "winback". Maybe not. If you can find another carrier that offers something adequate to your needs for less, that's where you should go. For example, even within Bell properties, Lucky Mobile offers 8.5 GB high speed and unlimited low speed for $50/month.

I have a longer post, responding to a similar situation, here.

Shouldn't be surprised, i'm sure the Big 3 would jack up prices every year if they could get away with it.

No need for loyalty, just jump to whoever is offering the best price point/reception/data for your needs.

Look at Koodo, Fido, Zoomer, public mobile, lucky etc..

I have had good success with Public Mobile....

Didn't get the price increase on bell. Maybe coz I ported number my number away a few months ago and they call and offer me $60 10GB.
