Looking for a $500 > 13 " laptop or tablet, must have a keyboard and Windows OS. Whats the best deal? Seems bestbuy.ca is out of stock on alot of there items.
Tried the 10.1" Acer switch it was terrible. Returned.

x220 - very durable. great specs for the price.

get it refurb or try to find it new.

doesnt have usb 3.0 (you can buy an adapter)

doesnt have Hdmi (I bought an dvi-hdmi Adapter from aliexpress. Works great. Transfer audio and video!)

Very simple. Don't buy a new laptop. They're huge rip offs. Buy something like an off lease or lightly used Latitude from eBay, etc. You'll get a powerful, durable, capable laptop for much less than new. $500 in the "new laptop market" will only buy you crap that is poorly made, relatively ill-performing, and will break easily.

You can easily get an E6330 (Ivy Bridge) for like $250-300 US on eBay; even if it doesn't come with an SSD (some do even at those prices) you can add a cheap one for $60-100 and you've got a laptop way better than anything you'll find for under $500 new.

Just my $0.02.

Yep, Off-Leases are a good bet. Especially from Lenovo or Dell.

Kijiji, every now and then, has some people who sell their gently used company/business laptops.

Thats how I got my T420 for 200 and x220 for 200
