Well? Anyone have any suggestions?
We used to go to Kamei in Burnaby alot but their quality has slipped somewhat. We also like Taisho at Metropolis but their quality has dipped as well.

OMG, stay away from Taisho at Metropolis. I went there last month and it had to be worst sushi experience in my life. I love sushi but the fish they served was still frozen! Servers had big time attitude too.

May 9th, 2003 04:44 PM #7The tuna I had at Taisho was still frozen when I had it as well. Yeah, I have to agree with you that the service there is crap. Really dumb servers. $16.95 isn't worth it for their regular non sashimi all you can eat. Speaking of service, we weren't too impress with the slow service at Granville sushi as well. It almost took them a half an hour to bring us the bill!!OMG, stay away from Taisho at Metropolis. I went there last month and it had to be worst sushi experience in my life. May 15th, 2003 11:05 AM #9We decided to try this out last night and were fairly impressed. For $10.95 a head, the selection and quality were quite good. You also get 4 pieces of sashimi per person also (tuna or salmon).Kisha Poppo after 9:30pm. the one on Stevesteon and No4 in Ironwood Plaza. it's only $$10 all you can eat.. they got hand cones too!! Try Tokyo Ichiban in Richmond.
It's located across on Landsdowne across the street from Landsdowne Mall.
There's also another location on North Road, but I don't like that one.

May 17th, 2003 04:11 AM #12Granville Sushi. Same thing happened to us too. Waited and waited and finally got someone's attention. Man, it's like they don't want the money. The quality was ok but for my money I still like Shabusen on Granville (they have another one downtown somewhere) where you get both Korean BBQ and Japanese for something like 13 bucks lunch and 20 bucks dinner. The tuna I had at Taisho was still frozen when I had it as well. Yeah, I have to agree with you that the service there is crap. Really dumb servers. $16.95 isn't worth it for their regular non sashimi all you can eat. Ebisuya (Ebisoya?) on Broadway between Main and Fraser is a great little place that isn't very well-known. The sashimi is usually perfect (not frozen, but not warm). Best scallop cones and spicy tuna sashimi around. $18.95 (I think). No problems in the report on the health inspection site, which is pretty rare.

Tried E Bei (Granville & 41st) last month.
Other than the long wait for a table (45mins), everything was good. Service was fine, we got exactly what we ordered without any problems (other all-you-can eat may throw anything on your table either you ordered it or not). The dinner menu is excellent, with a great selection of sushi/sashimi. Raw Oysters, Shrimp ONLY tempura, Hamachi sushi, Ebi sushi, etc..... all the good stuff for $20.95 Weekdays, add $1.00 more on weekend/holidays.
Best sushi all you can eat in Vancouver.
Now, Tokyo Ichiban is trying to change thier menu like Ebei... anyone tried ichiban recently?
