Best All you can eat Japanese food-Vancouver

If you can post their menu, that would be great.

For dinner the other night, we went to 'Fish on Rice', a new AYCE restaurant that is located where the old Kamei Sushi was in Burnaby. It's the one that's right above Earls. Right now, they have 10 percent off and all the pop you can drink as well. Dinner was $21.95 before the discount.

Apparently, desert is also included but it wasn't on the menu. Since we saw that some of the other tables were getting bowls of mango and green tea ice cream so we decided to ask if desert was part of the deal and surprisingly it was!!

Overall, it was pretty good and the menu choices are comparable to E. bei and Richmond Sushi.

You can also order the prawn tempura just by itself (no veggies) and they have items such as the following: beef sashimi, tuna tataki, scallop cones, raw oysers, oyster motoyaki, seafood motoyaki, and black cod.

I've scanned their menu/order sheet if anyone wants to take a look at it.

When I visited Vancouver last year, my friend took me to Richmond Sushi, I thought it was quite good, although a bit expensive. And some of the waitresses were pretty!

Ninkazu in Richmond is my current fav in terms of price/quality. (sister restaurant of Tomokazu in Vancouver) My second choice is Richmond Sushi. Sui Shi Ya in Lansdowne is horrible.

Having lived in TO and moved to Van...I have no idea why people would eat AYCE in Vancouver. The sushi in Van is way better then sushi in TO (Not AYCE). There are hidden gems of non ayce restaraunts in Van that will satisfy you without breaking the bank. I only eat at a few japanese restaraunts and almost never at an AYCE unless i'm forced to because it's someone's b-day or something.

Toshi is a great restaraunt on Main and 16th. It's only open 5-10 and closed sunday and monday though. You have to get there at 4:30 and start lining up. You must have all your party members there or else your not getting a seat.

Takara Bune on Victoria near 49th, by the churches is great non AYCE.

For AYCE, I've only been to:

Shabusan:
It's ok. The sushi is average with nothing special on the menu. Added bonus is you can order korean bbq with no extra cost.

Fish on Rice:
Average at best. Cookie cutter AYCE restaraunt.

Kingsway Sushi:
Was pretty good. Above average. Sushi was big without the gobs of rice.

Sui Shi Ya:
Horrible. I have no idea how this restarunt stays in business.

anyways ninkazu (richmond) and tomokazu (vancouver) definitely have the best ayce in GVR.

I think you're talking about Tanpopo ... it's relatively mediocre but great location. It's on the second floor. Very popular so service is a bit spotty ... but I guess I should slag the place considering how busy it can get. It's been a long, long time since i've been there though so can't say what it's like now.

Although not all you can eat, I like Suishi Garden's food in Metrotown. The only problem with it, long lineups and the staff isn't very friendly.

You would have loved it 10 years ago! Sada changed the operating philosophy in order to keep his sanity and still make a living. It seems to be working great even though I miss the days of more "reasonably" priced food.

Id rather pay $20 for awesmoe sushi then 15 all u can eat or mediocre

Tokyo Miyako, Granville and davie downtown vancouver

sashimi that melts in your mouth so good
Also try the rapture roll
youll be jaw dropped when u see it
and then jaw dropped when u taste it
