Sorry to ask this but what makes a Laptop bag different from a bag with different compartments? I mean do laptop bags have provide more padding? What should I look for when buying a bag made to carry a laptop and etc?
Kinda need one soon too.
Went looking for one through the forums and say a diesel strap bag, I think it said good for carrying laptop or something. I'm thinking I should go for a brand thats targetted towards laptop than fashion right?

Oh I see, the most common design I see are the "backpack" style but I wanna get the design that has a strap that goes around the shoulder while the bag is on the side of the body.
Any advice on where I can find this style in local retailers in Toronto that doesn't look like a typical black laptop bag?

My friend has a 100$ Targus one, last year I purchased a NexTech one at Staples for 55$ and has much more room for extra stuff and is better made (materials) then the 100$ one is... I find the Targus ones are way too small, although they make good shoulder straps... If you can find the NextTech one at staples, I would go with that, excellent backpack for the money...
