The Sony x900e for around $1800 is a better deal IMO. It's a nicer TV. Multiple RFD'ers have gotten them at Teletime for that price, some even cheaper ($1749).

I will also say that Black Friday is two weeks away. This is not exactly a good time to be buying a TV.

Since some of you guys know TVs pretty well:

RCSS has Sharp 55" 4K Ultra HD LED Smart TV this week for $549.99. I also have 25% off Electronics from PCPlus. Does that seem like a pretty good deal?

I'm definitely planning on getting the 65" x900e Black Friday. I'm hoping there's websites with them in-stock, so I won't have to leave the house!

I would be very surprised to see the 65" x900e sell for any cheaper on Black Friday compared to what it's currently selling at. Any cheaper and they would be selling them at a loss. The x900e is an extremely popular item. Typically on Black Friday they clear out stock of items that are less desirable or are being discontinued.

Mind you, the x900e certainly won't be any more expensive on Black Friday than it is currently, so it is worth waiting the two weeks, at the very least to see what's out there.

I have a feeling we will see some nice 75" TV deals on Black Friday. Some 65" deals also I'm sure.

I don't know much about that particular model. Does it support HDR? I know people were saying the 55" 4k Hisense TVs from RCSS were excellent. It might have been a 50" Hisense though, I don't remember.

Hisense and Sharp seem to be the same these days. The Sharp TVs being sold are rebranded Hisense TVs. That's not such a bad thing either. Hisense is getting better and better. My current TV is a Sharp/Hisense and I absolutely love it.

I have no idea about HDR. I just figured at 25% on top it might be worth buying....not much of a TV guy so I don't really know what is a smoking hot deal and what is just ok

Well at that price it would be hard to go wrong, even if it doesn't have HDR. Sharp/Hisense TVs are pretty good and they are a big step up over the RCA/Haier models they also sell at RCSS. If you have PC points bonuses that could be a no brainer purchase. The worst case scenario is that you would have to return it if you're not happy with it.

lol, XD MEDIA is NOT AUTHORISED to sell TVS in Canada for ANY brand.
Bestbuy IS AUTHORISED. They will not price match UNAUTHORISED Retailers.

Also XD MEDIA cannot give manufacturers warranty.

Bestbuy likes to put high end Sonys on sale during black Friday and boxing week. Usually in packages with sound systems. I would be surprised to see it not one sale to be honest.
