pretty good deal IMHO considering that you get a really good battery life (8hrs), 256ssd (hard to come by at this price point) and upgradable ram for an ultrabook
i dont care about touchscreen, but its a pity that this one does not have a nvidia card and likely has a bilingual keyboard

judging the battery capacity by the # of cells is sooooooooooo out (what's this, netbook era?). always go by the Wh and understand how much power the laptop can potentially drain
but given acer's excellent track record for stated battery life, if they say u can go 8 hrs, it's likely true. i am typing this on a acer laptop (not the M5 but its previous timelineX laptops) which they claim can do 8 hrs; i can milk 9+ hrs (browsing with wifi and bluetooth on) with the proper tweaksLast edited by chroma_cg; Jan 22nd, 2013 at 12:48 AM.

Spec from Acer, yes seems like it may actually has 10 points touch control. That would make it a real hot deal!

Reviews on the laptop on BB's website also mention the touchscreen. Pretty sweet deal for a touchscreen laptop at $600

reviews (similar model with HDD instead of SSD) complain about touchpad and screen. Both mention about backlit keyboard but can't confirm from Acer Canada's spec.

Pretty good deal, Ultrabooks with regular HDD and similar specs are around $550...so you'd be paying $50 for a 256 SSD. That's good...but yeah, I don't need another laptop either...and really, Ultrabooks may fit a certain market but I don't mind carrying an extra ~1.5lb if I can get that much more power...
