You work at bestbuy? I'm looking to get a new LED TV between 40-48 inches. Know anything about upcoming sales on that stuff? Also I have a reward zone card, would a flatscreen qualify for the double points for the gamers club?

Wait, so because this poster has 1 post we assume he's a BestBuy employee? If the information came from someone who has let's say 100 post we express gratitude for the heads up?

shouldn't this be judged on a post by post basis? Your comments would be warranted if this practice continues beyond the holiday season but then again, I don't really know what the difference is between a heads up thread of sales by one guy or by various individuals throughout the year. We benefit in the end, right? I can see making guys in the BST forum pay for the rights to bump their threads more than a non-sponsoring member but in this case, it's ilke biting the hands that feeds you.

I think it was that, but personally I don't care. He put in a lot of time to link to each laptops, so I appreciate that regardless.

All I know is laptops, and the gamers club is probably not applicable to TV's.

This is just to get people to know the upcoming sales, if you are going to be an ass about it then take my act of appreciation and shove it.

There is usually one every year.

It's not like this guy is at best buy head office trying to get free advertising. It's a store employee that got some early information and is trying to share it with everyone. This is the type of thing that I thought any RFD member would appreciate. I'm not looking for a laptop, but if I was it would be a good heads up.

Hopefully you are just having a bad day, and aren't a jerk all the time. Have a good night! Thanks OP.

No i suspect from the wording that it was directed, a joe six pack BB employee wouldnt word it like that.

If bb is directing their employees to do this, which is fairly obvious, then BB should be paying RFD plain and simple.

Without any actual numbers this is not so useful either.

His last sentence is what is super fishy "Enjoy, and choose Best Buy as your place to be this Boxing Day! "
Why would a lowly best buy employee give a crap if you shop at best buy or not... This is BS.

Why would commission matter? I work at a railcar manufacturer, I don't get commission, but I would prefer that union pacific gives my company their business, I would prefer that CN rail also continues to buy our cars. Wanting the company you work for to do well should be normal, since if that company doesn't do well, you don't stay employed long.

Yes this is exactly it, I am not a "lowly best buy employee" and do actually give a damn about my work. It seems that all this debate it over the last sentence I put in the post "...and choose best buy..". Yes this seems like advertising, but I didnt mean it like that, I meant in a way that lets people know that I did this (when I shouldnt have, do you see a list like this anywhere?) as a hidden leak for you to come to Best Buy for these supposed deals, obviously. If this was planted, it would not be just here, get some common sense, if a company is to advertise, its not a simple knock on the door, its a full blown circus.

As a side note, I got some more predictions based on upcoming stock.

Blackberry Playbooks
Seagate External Drives
Rocketfish HDMI Cables
Western Digital Passport Drives
iPad 2

This is just from seeing the last couple of shipments, and the amount of stock sitting in the bins. Organized from most likely to least likely.

whats the big deal? You mad sis? Not to sure if BB would appericiate that you leak stuff out but on the matter of why a low lvl employee would care? Well sometimes they actually like to help ppl out. I know most ppl on online forums think BB comp reps are dumb no true fact is that customers that we get are dumb

Hey can i have a discount ?
Hey Hey take away the tax when boss aint looking
Hey knock of 80$ of the ipad and ill take it
Hey bro bro put the comp case in for free if i buy a usb stick?
Hey man i want a cheap power full pc, whats ur price budget? $250.
Im never shopping here again, sees customer 2 days after
Hey it says up to 50% off i only got 35, this is false advertisement i demand a refund.

To those customers who are actually kind and politely deny our services, I say THANK YOU. Its customers like those where ill knock a few $ off cause thy understand that this is canada and taxes must be paid and not everything is marked up by $100.

Very few customers are as annoying as stated above, most are very nice :)
For those who say, why does it matter if your company does well or not, why do you care? Well whne you stop working at MacDonalds and work at a place that gives u a bit more freedom you might actually realize that if you dont do your part the store will be outta business and there goes your kush money.

I hope you enjoy your shopping experience this holiday season no matter where you shop. Sorry of the above sounds a bit rude but dont start blaming the OP based on post count, RDF shouldn't be like that, the only time that is allowed to flame is when/if ncix makes a thread about a sick sale.

+1 - a family member of mine is a manager at FS, and two years ago he projected what products were going on sale based on orders/inventory, and he was spot on with the TVs he told me about. Cut this guy some slack for trying to help us out with our BD shopping planning.

Got a big pallet of playbooks in stock, about 200 I think total. I also read an article recently: http://smarthouse.com.au/Phones/Industry/L8K9N7P8 so the sale will probably still go on, and probably at its 199 price point from earlier this month. Just stock will be limited from this set back.

Ya playbook for sure, our store is stuffed in the back with them. Not only that but a lot of open boxes returns the day after people realized its not the tab for them.
