[Best Buy] Dell 7000 Gaming i7-7700HQ, 128+1TB HD, 16 GIG RAM, GTX-1050 + free usb stick-$1099.98

I bought the i5 8 gig Ram GTX1050TI 256 ssdversion of this last summer in Miami, gotta say impressed, I get 100fps playing overwatch on high, bought the Lenovo Explorer and tried a zombie game and superhotVR VR both play flawlessly, so I'd assume this one is better equipped and would be better in performance. Pretty happy with the machine

*I find with the positioning of the fans, the keyboard of the laptop remains relatively warm-cool, had for almost a year now and no complaints, whereas some friends older Lenovo's are hot to the touch *

AND A CRUZER 32GB FLASH DRIVE?! COUNT ME IN!

On a serious note though, good deal OP. I'm in the process of selling my laptop. If I sell it in time, I'd love to pick this up.

The 1050 makes it kind of not worth it imo. You will get disappointing performance in any recent actually technically demanding games with that GPU. Overwatch is designed for running on low end hardware but anything recent with higher requirements is probably going to run poorly

Pretty good deal. Wouldn't say it's future proof though.

At this price a good deal would be to find a 1050ti and get a 30% performance boost.
The GTX1050 will quickly become your bottleneck

For 100$ more than bestbuy you can have a GTX 1050ti but with 8gb of ram

There have been some good deals latety with 7th gen cpu and a GTX1050 around 1000$.

But damn.... that 17$ USB2.0 flashdrive sure is nice....Ahhh... it even has an encryption software.. oh god!

I'm typing on the i5-7300HQ/1050Ti/8GB/256 SSD version right now. Upgraded it with an 8GB stick of ram and a 1TB SSHD hard drive. So a worse processor and a better video card. It plays FFXV alright on medium but stutters intermittently (not often but still noticeable every once in awhile). I ordered directly from Dell and the ribbon cable connecting the 2.5" hard drive slot was not attached to the motherboard so I had to put it into the connector before connecting the SSHD.

Overall I am happy with this laptop but If you are looking for a gaming laptop I would probably say pass on a 1050 videocard. There have been laptops with 1060s in them popping up around this price point. This case also holds fingerprints like crazy.

Another alternative if you can get a Unidays code 10% off code (plus 10% ebates cash back), there's this one directly from Dell better, personally:

- i5-7300HQ instead of i7-7700HQ processor
- GTX 1060 (Max Q, which can apparently be overclocked fairly easily) 6GB GPU
- 256GB SSD
- 8gb ram

$1199.99 - 10% unidays = $1079.99 + tax and you get $108 cash back from ebates (plus Dell rewards 2% or 3% or whatever it is). Processor isn't as strong, but IMO for futureproofing on gaming, I'd rather have a better GPU. Even without overclocking, the 1060 Max Q beats out the 1050 pretty handily.

Oh its à nice machine no doubt about it. If you really only need a good CPU and Ram than this is great but if gaming is your primary focus than the gtx1050 will quickly become a serious limitation.
