Dyson.ca has the same offer right now and there's currently a 5x Air Miles multiplier on that site through air miles shops if anyone collects those.

Buy first. Don't open box. See what happens on black friday, if a better offer comes up, return?

Does anyone know?

I think it is a bad deal.
It doesnt come with the soft roller head that is good for hardwood vacuum. This cost $150.

The V7 Absoulte deal the bay a while ago, $370, was a better deal.

The Absolute has the motorized head designed specifically for hard floors. Their naming conventions are a bit confusing. From my research:

  • Slim = Basic motorized head + "Combination" tool
  • Cord-Free = Slim + crevice tool
  • Motorhead = "Direct-drive cleaner head" + "Combination" and crevice tools.
  • Animal = Motorhead + "Mini Motorized Tool" (for pet hair on furniture) + "Mini soft dusting brush"
  • Fluffy = Doesn't really appear in North America, main difference being the "Soft Roller Cleaner Head", accessories as per the Motorhead, I think.
  • Absolute = Animal + "Soft Roller Cleaner Head"

So, to answer your question more directly: "It's missing the $150 'Soft Roller Cleaner Head'." it's not a deal breaker if you don't have much in the way of hard floors, as the regular "Direct-Drive cleaner head" is billed for use on both carpet and hard floors. However, the "Soft Roller Cleaner Head" was designed specifically for hard floors and to prevent what reviewers call "snowplowing" where on a hard floor some vacuums will push larger bits around.

I'm kicking myself for missing the deal at The Bay; I chatted with a Dyson rep afterwards and found out that it's possible to get HEPA parts for the V7.

Canadian Tire has the Dyson V7 Animal Pro for $349.99 as well. I picked one up there because I had CT money to use.

Seems like quite a few places have it at $349.99 at the moment.

So sounds like there are 3 versions of the V7:

- Regular V7
- V7 Absolute
- V7 Animal

Just at work so no time to search it out but does anyone know the basic differences? More attachments but which ones.
