Ordered ... numerous packs online, order went through, challenged the price, waiting for a response. I'm not sure it will work since the flyer actually has a picture of the AA4 Energizer max "+powerseal". This may be an in store only deal.... Will report back.

Although online says 4 left in stock.

Yes I noticed that to. All the packs online and in store that I bought before were the max and powerseal. Online it may be a stock photo.

First, the sale starts tomorrow August 17th. So trying online or at the store won't work. You'd have to try tomorrow. Plus, with Best Buy, they'll limit you how many you could buy. If the manager is a dick, he can limit you to one. But if he's a decent guy, maybe he'll let you buy a few. Just a side note... if Best Buy sells these for $8.99 each, doesn't this just really show how much they mark up their prices and profit they make on stuff like this? WOW!

I'll report back tomorrow with my progress. Thanks OP.

I was able to get 4 pack for 0.90. Not a bad deal for 16 batteries. It took a few minutes, the manager first said it was limited quantities, then he only wanted to match the price, then he called no frills 1 800 number. He eventually gave it to me.

I have one question how are people price matching the batteries for $0.20? Doesn’t No frills have the batteries on sale for $1.00? Is there something I am missing from the post?

I wonder if No frills ad is a misprint----I was at No frills yesterday and the $1 AA packs contained only 2 batteries

I don't believe it is a misprint. I know the AA is a 4 pk and the AAA is a 2pk. Also on Nofrills.ca it is $1.00 as well.

Just bought 4 packs at the Kingston location (kids toys, not hoarding) and I then watched the manager grab the rest off the shelf.

Probably hide it at the back and bring it back to the shelf next week when NF's sale is over.

Even No Frills is cutting back, I bought the same deal 4-5 months back for $1, but the package had 6 AA's.

Edit: My bad , I remember now it was for 2$ so this is even a better deal !
If one person finds my post useful, I consider it as a job well done....

For sure. I wanted to leave some for others but if I had known they were going to hide them, I would have tried to buy them all.

Yes, I believe a lot of the store managers will be doing that. I believe the sale goes till August 29.

Will Bestbuy price match No Frills since they are in a different market, food vs electronics. Just wondering.

all of this seems a bit too excessive to save 3$ on batteries

but the whole point of rfd is to harass an underpaid manager to get the best deal. /s
