Check my reply in the sphero thread.

Just scored a mint one on Kijiji for $40, told the guy I could buy the Echo for $75 and that it will probably be on sale on BF lol.

Those that says their GH understand them better..this has been my experience, I even had to actually stop the music playback lol

3rd gen Echo dot has a louder speaker and only 4 mics vs 7 on the Echo and Echo Dot 2nd gen vs only 2 on all of the Google Homes
Dunno about that test, but my Echo Dot 3 can hear me from the main floor, and it's in the back corner of my bedroom on the second floor. I'm impressed by the distance it can hear my voice from. There was also a firmware update when I set it up last week. Not sure if the reviewer was running the latest firmware.

What time does November 9th start for bestbuy.ca?

I love how the Google Home Mini and the Amazon Echo Dot fluctuated between $80 and $35 over the last year. You'd think the two competing would have permanently dragged the price down closer to $35.

I think they are subject to Trump duty in the USA. Although the US economy is so hot right now that probably doesn't affect demand much. Alexa is supposed to start speaking Canadian French soon (currently in testing), so they might be available in Quebec in time for Christmas.

It is now live. Sadly, I couldn’t stack it with the $15 off the Amazon smart plug.

By the way, this week buying two Echo dots is substantially more expensive than buying 3. I suspect there is some sort of Amazon subsidy involved. Amazon had an entire page in the Bestbuy flyer. Short term thinking on Bestbuy’s part, but whatever.

Im undecided on this... I have 2 older dots, and Echo and Echo Plus.

The dots are both hooked up to alternate speaker systems.

But geez these look tempting at this price!

Does anyone know if this thing can change the volume, switch inputs on my TV. Sadly Google Home and Chromecast cannot. I have a pretty high end SmartTV LG 55U7700 so would love to be able to control with voice through a voice assistant like Alexa.

Also heard that Alexa can't control YouTube which is a real pain since we watch YouTube a fair bit. Can anyone confirm?

Reserved three in-store this morning... just received an email indicating that they're being held for pickup. Will grab them on my way home after work. Thanks OP!
