someone can just steal that outdoor camera -- it looks to be only magnetically mounted...

I love nest products but the mandatory subscription in order to watch recorded video kills this for me. Any of you guys familiar with another outdoor brand/model that is capable of sending alerts based on movement detection?

I use the amcrest system. Works great. Others also say the arlo is good

That subscription dampens the deal, but I'll be using this as a baby monitor, so only need live viewing.

I felt the same initially, but I found it to be the best product compared to others (money aside). Also I no longer need to pay for a home security to monitor my place.

They have an app that allows for one free view (I choose my front door). It sends me notifications, alerts and records the videos that I can download.

Yep, BB also had an additional $50 off when you purchased the outdoor and indoor cam, making it $175 each.
