[Best Buy] Insignia Wi-Fi in Wall Light Switch for $29.99 and wall plug for $24.99(Supports Homekit, Google & Alexa)

Pretty good price for an in-wall wifi light switch thats got native homekit support. One less device to rage over setup on homebridge lol. Also supports Google Assitant and Alexa. I just got one and it was easy to set up on the iphone home app. Google home setup was just login to insignia connect account. The insignia connect app is not as polished as the tp-link kasa app, but it does the job. One thing to point out it seemed more instant on the siri side vs google home when I turned the light on/off. Here is the bestbuy usa link, which has more pics and more info.

Also the wall plug plus power meter is on sale too for $24.99. It supports Homekit, google & alexa as well. Cheapest homekit wall plug.

Bought 4 of these on Black Friday. Have installed 3. One of them was defective - after about an hour it started buzzing not stop and the lights would not stay on. Replaced that one with a new one which is working fine. Siri works pretty well with a slight delay sometimes but overall I am fairly happy especially given the price. Will try with Alexa whenever my Echo Dot arrives.

Does this allow you to dim the lights through voice control?

Nope the insignia don't. I got these zooz dimmable switches, which does work with regular 3 way switches. They are much more expensive and needs a hub like wink or smartthings

Would this switch require a neutral wire for installation?

I thought the TP-Link went on sale for $20 at the Source a few weeks back, which is almost equivalent to this one. I passed since these are not 3-way compatible.

TP-link was on sale for $25 at BB during BF. Bought 2 and they work great, although I don't think they are Homekit enabled

The big advantage of these ones is native compatibility with all of HomeKit, Alexa and Google Assistant.
