Best Buy Price Guarantee: Boxing Day Usage?

wow, u people are really pathetic. Is it worth it to get a couple of bucks back to drive over there, and wait in the long line to just get a few dollars?? I doubt they'd pricematch if it was a doorcrasher. FS had 80GB hdd last year, next day, they seem to be all gone. Guess it was a one day thing. Best luck to ya for trying to save a few dollars and waste 1/2 hour.

Actually, ^ that is why I asked if the price guarantee could somehow be honoured online.

I made a purchase on Sunday and then viewed the Best Buy Boxing Day flyer (on another site), which indicated the same product was going to be on sale for $20 less. If there was some easy way to take care of this from home, I would do it. Look away those of you who must, but I have never been in a store on Boxing Day.

If you read the policy carefully, you will see:

"Our Lowest Price Guarantee does not apply to ... limited or minimum quantity or limited time offers ..., and special financing offers. "

I would consider the Boxing Day sale is limited time offers.

How about this?:

If I can manage to buy the same item at the reduced Boxing Day price, I can give the original item as a gift as intended. Then, when the reduced price item arrives, I can return it unopened with the original receipt for the full, higher price.

Will that work? I guess it isn't crucial, but $20 and tax is $20 and tax and it would come in handy for anyone I'm sure.
