[Best Buy] RING Alarm kit, $239 PM HD for $215 Reg $269.99

$30 off $200 and $70 off $500 Smart Home Products.

Not a hot deal by itself, but I PM'ed Home Depot for Ring Security system and it came down to $216 before tax.

Bestbuy Ring url https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/ri ... 18839.aspx?
Home Depot: https://www.homedepot.ca/en/home/p.ring ... 60857.html

$269.99 - $30 = $239.99 BB Price.
10% off $239.99 = $215.99 which I think is hot for RING Security System.

Can you please share how to PM online with HD? Thank you kindly.
I'd happy with $216.

edit: try to PM online via chat and no luck.

Not sure if Op's math is correct. Thought price beat is usually 10% of the difference.

$269 - $239 = $30 x 10% = $3.

So HD may end up beating the price but only by $3 more, $236 before taxes. Not sure if it's hot for a starter kit. I am still waiting for US Costco.com go on sale.

I successfully PM'ed through Home depot chat. I asked them to add the product to the cart on bestbuy and check and they did to find the lower price.

No, that is not correct. HD PM beats by 10%.

Thanks OK! Seems like this is better deal than the pre-order deal for $243.

Black Friday is right around the corner, would expect the same or better deals in just a couple weeks I would think.

I asked for PM twice online chat and they checked exactly as that. They added the product to the card on Bestbuy and they aknowledged lower by $30 BUT their comment was they do not PM general promotional discount. They only PM product to product if the price is lower without other offer. I do not want to dispute.

Congrat on your purchase. I am going to bite BB package as I am out of luck with HD.

Sorry to hear that, but luckily mine was accepted at first attempt.

is it overpriced?
motion sensor - 30-40
contact sensor - 25-35 Aotec or Dome
siren - 50 Aotec

all for 100 or so, minus panel and range extender (not required in typical home - Z-wave uses 900MHz and has decent range).
not worth it, IMO

edit: I guess it's ok if you only need security alarm package and don't have any hardware at this point.

Sensors are almost the same price with RING too, but I think the hub is priced more as it includes the keypad and also a SIM calling feature.

This is their "monitoring package"...
You can definitely build you own setup cheaper.
