That’s not a bad price for that size of commercial panel. BUT... it’s not HDR, doesn’t have any audio capabilities, and no Smart TV features. The absence of HDR is a big one, bu damn that’s a big TV
IPS tv's will always have poor HDR, so it really doesn't mean much that it doesn't include it. Bad HDR is always better just turned off.

My reasoning for buying it would be because unless I am going to go OLED, I am sacrificing picture quality in one way or another no matter what LED or QLED I would buy.

A 98 inch mainstream tv won't be available for 10k or less for a long time, given how much they are trying to scam people with the samsung Q900 98 inch for 100k.... I wish there were reviews on the tv, or any commercial tv's for that matter.

if this tv can somehow creep down to $7500, it will be a must buy for me even without a real review... if it was a VA panel, I would probably buy it for the current price and just say eff it.... This is my tv goal for now.... I already bought the Samsung QN82Q6FN for $2500..

let's make my tv spending an even 10k baby! plus effing provincial taxes of course....

Why u guys pay so much to buy old fashioned TV???

Real smart TV intruced by Huawei several days ago will lead the market soon. Your TV will be the central hub for everything, connecting and working with your car, phone, computer, light, fridge, etc.

Thats a bad model. You could always plugin a smart controller to your tv ( which is futuristic). it should not be built into tv hardware.

In the market for a new tv in a few months. Will this tv (or similar) be on sale at CNE or on Black Friday?

If you go in store and buy it directly from local guys, they can offer you another $150 off.

Plus they say 2 year in home services is 150. Not bad but pretty much you loose the discount from that.

I spoke to someone at Telecity today. Nice guy, like someone mentioned, I actually like their policy of no payment until delivery is received. He did ask for a deposit, but he didn't seem like he was going to force it down my throat.

I asked about different options at this size.

$3000 LG 86" 8070
$3500 Samsung 82" Q70R
$4000 Sony 85" 900 series

I'm sure there are other options as well (I just checked rtings) that he would have available. But I was looking for good deals.

Which one which you pick? I'm trying to decide if the extra 3" in going to the Sony is worth $500 or not. Rtings seems to think that they are comparable models, so really it's just paying for the extra size.
Thanks! Sent them a message. Let see what they say.

I just called CNE. They said it was 4000 tax included for this TV. You can probably get it done for 3900 all in.
