[Best Buy] Sandisk Extreme Plus mSD 64GB - $27.99

Pretty great deal considering how much these things are on Amazon and other places right now.

They also seem to have other cards on for pretty cheap too:

32GB Extreme Plus ($19.99) - https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/sa ... 13673.aspx?

32GB Extreme ($19.99) - https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/sa ... 97075.aspx?

Thanks, bought one. Curious about the A2 160MB/s speed. :)

Thanks OP!

Bought 2 for my DJI Pocket...

These are the cards recommended by DJI

Amazon is a couple of cents cheaper but it's a 3rd party seller selling the cards and not sold by Amazon...

160MB/s is only achieved with sandisk's own card reader

A1 vs A2 is yet another classification, this time measured in IOPS (Input/output operations per second).

Why can't they just continue using "minimum megabytes per second" ?

too many fluffy numbers that mean next to nothing

Thanks OP. Prefer the 128Gb extreme pro, but two of these will do too. :)
(Don't trust third party Amazon.ca vendors)

Wow on paper there's a huge difference between A1 and A2

A1
Random Read Input-Output access per second
Read: 1500
Write: 500

A2
Random Read Input-Output access per second
Read: 4000
Write: 2000

Do the Extremes have any difference over the Ultras when used for the Switch?

The Extreme and Extreme Plus tend to be the ones that more camera and other manufacturers recommend. Hear that lots of people have issues with the Ultras (YMMV).

Also noticed that they have the Sandisk "Switch" branded 128GB mSD card for $49.99 in case you feel like paying for a branded card. :)

The 64GB "Switch" branded version is also on sale for $27.99

FYI, ordered online to be picked up in store. They gave me the Extreme A2 instead of the Extreme "PLUS" A2. Not to bright girl keep saying the UPC code is the same.
Waited again (15mins) for her to look for it and she returns with Extreme Plus "A1". Again she's saying about the UPC code being the same *sigh*.

Anyways wasted my time, they couldn't find the product as advertised. :(

The only ones I saw from Amazon for around the same price were the Sandisk Extreme, not the Extreme PLUS. This one is the Extreme PLUS that Amazon shows for around $75

How does this compete performance wise against the 128Gb one at Costco for 29.99? If I use it in my s7 or Switch would it just be a slower load time?

Better random IOPS, which is benefits apps/games that streams smaller bits of information more often compared to large sequential data like video. Hence better load times.

Same happened here...

Went for store pickup and it wasn't the Plus...

Waste of time...

Based on my experience the Sandisk Extreme Plus 64gb (link) will turn out to be an Extreme card. Bestbuy lists it as model number SDSQXA2, which according to Sandisk’s site is a 160/60 MB/s Extreme card. I bought the 128GB variant a month ago thinking I was getting an Extreme Plus but I received an Extreme card instead. Bestbuy’s model number is correct, but the title and picture are misleading as they say Extreme Plus. I’m not sure how much, if any, difference it makes performance-wise as both are U3, V30, A2 cards rated for either 170/90 or 160/90 MB/s, but it sure is confusing. Sandisk also doesn’t make things easy by having a ton of different model numbers for very similar cards depending on the region they are sold in.

What about the Extreme pro? On Amazon it's 11$ more and better card with a reliable seller.

Is there a point getting this?

It sounds like I am going to get the wrong model?
