Sure is, I just picked up another one. I shucked the drive in the one from the previous sale and it a Barracuda drive (ST4000DM004).

This is a pretty solid deal. I'll probably pick one up to expand my ps4 and future ps5 storage (hopefully).

It was pretty hard to get apart, I tried following the video but I didn't find it helped much so I gave up on trying to save the case and got rough with it. Just need to be careful not to damage the drive. I previously shucked a 2tb portable Seagate for my PS4 and it was much easier.

Yeah, it wasn't as easy to open as the previous Seagate models which popped open easily with no noticeable damage. This one is getting hurt. Plus, the inside has foil stickers wrapping the PCB around the drive. Even if you managed to open it problem free, which you won't, the foil inside with crease. They'll know if they care to look. Burn the drive in via USB first and made sure you get a working drive before you open it.

The 8TB may or may not be an Archive drive inside which would be less preferable. But you can identify what's inside over USB. See the previous thread.

Mine was:

Model family: Seagate Desktop HDD.15
Device model: ST4000DM000-2AE166
Rotation rate: 5980 rpm

But apparently, the previous thread showed other models as well.
