Living in a studio apartment, I promise you, you want the fridge away from the TV. Fridges are noisy. Get a cooler or if your home is really too big, get a mini fridge and stick it an other room around the corner.

Followed these a bit during the crowdfund - very cool concept
Had me questioning getting it but the price is still too much.

Also good point re: fridge noise, curious how quiet it is(n't)

No wireless charging? pfft...
That's just it, all the components except the fridge (and table) will be out of date within a year or so. It's great when people organize new ideas, but this is just a really bad one.

So true....I wonder why that's the case....we're in 2018...and I can still hear my fridge 30feet away.
(Mind you, my wife says my hearing is too sensitive)

Where would you plug this in, say if you had hardwood floors. The cord is going to be in your way somewhere.

I don't see four normal power outlets ever going out of date. USB-A ports aren't going to stop working, just won't fast charge or support higher wattage compared to USB-C PD. Same with Bluetooth, BT spec improvements won't affect the speakers since new phones will be backward compatible.

Wireless charging definitely would have been nice though.
