[Best Buy] [WARM/HOT] $269.99 Acer ED273 monitor - Curved 27" 1080p 144hz Freesync 48-144hz LFC

Found this in the Best Buy flyer.

As long as you are OK with the lower PPI (81~) it will be a decent budget gaming monitor with 144hz refresh and Freesync (including LFC).

From research online it should work with G-Sync as well (I will confirm if I grab one on the weekend).

Seems like historical low is around $199 USD, so $269.99 CAD is a good price.

Fixed. I forgot that RFD post doesn't do that automatically for you.

People still use 1080p these days?

1080p prejudice is rampant in these part.

Admittedly, 1440p at 144Hz is what the heart demands, at a minimum.
I aim to be inclusive and considerate of others in my posts. If I fall short of that mark, feel free to let me know in good faith, and where appropriate, I'll edit my posts. Thank you.

At 27", let's aim for 1440p in 2019 (as 1440p are now becoming the norm even for some 14" laptops)

Honestly most people have no idea what any specs mean or how to take advantage of any features. Heck we have people using arc (not eArc) on Dolby atmos setups.

That’s more because consumers are clueless, 1440p at 14 inches is a waste for most people. We are actually starting to see more 1080p laptops with high refreshrate, better customer experience.

I just found a Phillips 27” 4K IPS model 276E8VJSB on Amazon for $379. Tried to get the LG one from Bestbuy for $349 but it is sold out. What do you guys think of this Philips model?

I got this monitor for $199 on Prime Day in 2018. It’s fine but I regret not having bought a 4k monitor.

Edit: My bad. The one I have is actually an Acer ED273 wmidx.

That's the white one right (wmidx)? I think that version is only 60hz?
