[Best Buy] [Warm?] Olympus OM-D E-M10 MkII with 14-42mm kit lens - $649

BestBuy has the OM-D E-M10 MkII with the M.Zuiko 14-42mm lens on for $649. I just picked this up as the GX850 I recently purchased wasn't to my liking and Shop Panasonic is sold out of (and discontinuing) the GX85 + 12-32 combination. I believe this is $50 less than the last E-M10 MkII sale.

Not sure if price is good but alternative is to buy at Costco for the extra one year warranty. Same price.

Silver: https://m.costco.ca/.product.100343700.html
Not only extra year of warranty. But also $25 cheaper with Costco if you use MasterPass to pay.

Get $25 OFF a purchase of $100 or more on Costco.ca when you pay with Masterpass
Valid: Oct 2 to Dec 9

Good catch. I had Reward Zone points to burn, but purchasing from Costco is the more attractive proposition for those who don't.

Word of warning: the specs and description says it comes with the "M.Zuiko Digital 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 II R" lens, whereas the picture shows the "M.Zuiko ED 14-42mm F3.5-5.6 EZ" mounted on the body.

The differences is that the EZ one is half the size and has power zoom. I suspect that the camera will come with the II R lens, not the EZ, because Olympus doesn't sell the EZ kit anymore.

I bought the EZ kit when BB was clearing it out last year, so I'd be surprised if they still had any EZ kits left

What's funny is the photos show both the EZ (photos 1 - 3, 7 - 9) and the II R (photo 4), but you are likely right and it's the II R.

E-M10 Mk II is a very good camera (if you're into mirrorless) and I got it (just the body) for $550 from Henry's in the summer. So comparing that to this deal, you are basically getting the 14-42mm kit lens for $100. If you don't have that (or any m43) lens, then it is a good deal. I already have that lens from previous camera so it doesn't do anything for me.

Extended warranty is always a good idea, but you can also buy directly from Olympus before its 1 year standard warranty expires. I think it's $99 for 3 more years.

According to photoprice, it's the same price at The Camera Store, and you would save on taxes when ordering out of province.

It's a good camera, at a fair price, but it's not a great deal.

Decent price but not a hot deal. Wait about 45 days for Black Friday sales unless you badly need this now.

Great camera, at a good price, likely will never be lower than $599 with lens. I purchased this camera from Canada computer in Jan for $647, so I wouldn't deem this a great clearance price. Having said all that, it's a lot of camera for $649

Usually with Olympus stuff, the pricing is fairly rigid.....i.e. it goes on sale for the same price everywhere at the same time.....unless you can stack some kind of coupon or ebates. I paid $599 at BB when they were really clearing out the MkII EZ kit (which was a good deal because that kit was always $800)

The MkII is still a good camera, the differences between the Mark III and the Mark II are minimal (mainly 4k video), but you also lose some important things....like remote flash control.

Dell just start carrying a few selected Olympus gears and they have the same E-M10 MkII kit. Wait for the big cash back from ebates and also received 3% back with Dell Advantage.

Silver : http://www.dell.com/en-ca/shop/olympus- ... hoto-video

The titles don't say lens is included but somewhere within the descriptions and specs, it does indicate lens is included.

nice....had no idea Dell was stocking these. Hopefully they'll add the nicer cameras like the PENF or EM1. If you can wait for a 10-15% ebates on it + MPP price + Dell Advantage, that would be hot
