I use a Dakine Sequence back pack... it's designed to be a snowboarding photo bag, but I use it to travel.

it has lots of storage and the camera block is removable which I like, and I can attach a tripod to the back if I really want.
link to the bag just in case you are interested. http://www.dakine.com/snowboard/packs/photo/sequence/

I need some advice on a camera backpack as well. Most backpacks I've seen are too oriented towards carrying camera gear and not much else. I need something to carry my camera gear, a 15" laptop, and regular day pack stuff such as a light jacket or sweater, food, etc.
Camera gear isn't too much, 40D w/ Tamron 17-50 mounted, 70-200 F4L, 50mm F1.8, and 580EX flash.
At this point I think I'm stuck with a two back route, my 7MDH clone and a small backpack for everything else. Hopefully there's something out there that can do it in one though

Why are they not called the Kate Twins? or the Kate-Olsen twins? It's also fascinating how 2 kids from different parents looked identical and both played the role of baby michelle on full house and now 20 some years later, they still look identical.

A compilation of camera bag reviews here:

I would go for the Crumpler shoulder bags, pretty stylish and roomy.

I bought my backpack on ebay, but I'm sure you can pick one up if you go to your local ski or snowboard shop....burnt_toast wrote: ↑where did you get your backpack? I was looking into getting the DAKINE Mission Photo Backpack.
