President's Choice Mastercard isn't a terrible place to start if you're a student and want a basic rewards card without fees. As long as you use it you receive points that go towards free groceries or Loblaws/Superstore items, not a terrible gig. You do have to be sure to pay off the card every month though as the interest rate is horrid.

There are probably others out there.
