Best deal on food for poker get together
Tonight we are having our infrequent poker nights. All of us are at least in our 30's so our tastes may be a bit different from the younger crowd.
We've done Swiss Chalet, sandwiches, pizza... I'd like to hear from other poker night fans which food can we go out and buy ready-to-eat is a winner for you.

chips, pun intended
just take a break and eat all together, and just allow drinks at the table.

fried chicken and beer!
i agree with above, eat separately. you dont want distraction or food on the cards/chips/table. just have a meal before and have drinks during the game. if it gets long just throw out some chips or nuts to snack on.

if you have a Costco membership, I suggest going to Costco and getting a few of their party platters.
They have chicken wings (pretty good), veggie/dip, fruit platters and a couple other finger food platters I think. All very reasonably priced as well.
For the hot foods, just pop them in the oven at the required temp/time and then lay out a spread before the game.
You can eat the veggies and fruit during the game since it isn't greasy.

What we always do is have a quick bbq before hand and have snacks as we go.
A few weeks ago we did just steaks and then played cards, other times I do a slow cooker full of chilli and then everyone grabs as they want.
We have done ribs, burgers, ect... all on paper plates with plastic beer cups, quick clean up and then its all in from there

+1 Not to mention the big bags of chips, microwaveable breaded mozzarella sticks or jalepenos, etc. Mmmmm, I'm getting hungry.

We did this last time too with the guys and poker night. We had so much veggies left at the end of the night we threw it in the blender, added some V8, left over vodka and rum and made a mystery cocktail that the winner had to drink for winning the $100 pot.
