Best ESL school in downtown Toronto?

Hi guys, I have a family member coming from Korea who wants to go to an ESL school.

Does anyone have any knowledge and recommendations which one(s) are good?

I know of ILAC downtown at Yonge and Bloor, and heard good things about it. Seems like they're a pretty big ESL school. This is at the top of my list to recommend to my fam member.

TIA :D!

Why not enroll them in an ESL program at a local college? Chances are they would get better instruction there.

How old is the family member (adult? teen?). You might want to look into some government funded programs first. The best school would depend on what their goal is. Do they want basic conversational English or do they plan to do another college program later.

All of those private ESL schools downtown are just looking to make a ton of money off international students. I knew someone that was a "teacher" at one of them, which is quite hilarious that they were able to obtain that position.
Most students in these schools seem to be looking for the "Canadian Experience" more than actually studying English.

i would stick to actual public colleges as well.
