Looks like the Samsung 710N for $355 - $30 MIR at Canada Computers might be the best.
Actually, seems almost like it might be a price error? Should I be worried about dead pixels?
edit: fixed the price. I'm an idiot...

The closest to that would be the BENQ FP783 17 INCH at $405.98 - $50 Rebate at this link from NCIX thanks to AMD. Cmon retailers just give us what we want in a couple months you will be selling these for much lower any ways might as well just get our money and get rid of yore current stuck, were not asking too much here.

Samsung 710N for $299? Where are you seeing that? Their flyer shows it what seems to be $355 - $30 MIR to me, and I'm not sure the MIR applies either (go to their site and see their regular MIR.. says with computer purchase). Not a bad deal, but considering it's from Canada Computers I'm not so sure.

And on-top of that, read the bottom of their flyer about no exchanges on boxing day, and Samsung only covers it at 7-8+ dead pixels. So should I be?

Dec 25th, 2004 12:59 AM #19I was rounding off in my head... Then I didn't go back and check. I think I just wrecked my RFD cred

Anyway, if you are planning on making a return for dead pixels you are pretty much limited in choice of retailers right? Staples Walmart and Costco will take no hassle returns, anybody else (specifically regarding dead pixels, of course, we don't want to get too off topic here)?
Ya, that isn't any good at all...

Nah, we all make mistakes. I wish all my mistakes were this small. You'd be surprised how often the RFD hot deals are mistakes, if you don't already know.

They seem like the kind of store that, well, which store doesn't, want to make a sale, and that's it. With the amount of profit cut they're taking on boxing day, I wouldn't be too surprised if that meant any sales on boxing day are final, without stating so obviously.
I think samsung's quality control is pretty good, probably about the same as the one for dell's lcd deal the other week. The only problem is, if you do get one with one to seven dead pixels, seems you're screwed. You're going to have to live with it.

http://pcvillagecanada.com/WebDeal.asp posted this:
Samsung 710N 17in LCD Panel (Reg. $349 - $30 MIR w/System Purchase) - 10pcs/store
Which is technically cheaper than Canada Computers, possibly. If you look on CC's regular site, their $30 MIR is with system purchase as well, so $355 - $30 MIR vs $349 - $30 MIR, PCVillage wins so far.
No clue on PCVillage's service though, just thought I'd give you the heads up.
