Best, most thorough, defrag program

ive been using Auslogics Disk Defrag for a while now and am wondering if there is a better one out there. it must be free, easily obtained, and fully released (past beta).
THANKS!

I was using freeware too until I tried Diskeeper. Its not free (I know this is no help to your question!) but I decided to get it after I tried it out. Defrags completely, fast and can be set to do the job automatically without affectng other programs. (Does not seem to slow operations while it runs in the background). You could check out the trial if you are not closed to paid options.

I use MyDefrag, a free utility. But there is a list on Wiki, take your choice for free.
If I could go back in time, I would change this signature!

Best paid I heard is Diskeeper, best free I heard is Defraggler.
Stop supporting monopolistic companies like Bell and Rogers if you want positive change in the Canadian telecommunications industry.

+1 for Defraggler.. I've used paid and free, and Diskeeper is good, but I like Defraggler way more since its portable and less hassle.

I got Diskeeper when I had to defrag very badly cluttered drives in low free space. My MFT was also fragmented. After I have set it in the background, I've really never had to bother about defrag :)
