Best Nintendo DS games - recommend them!
I know there is a big DS thread but it seems to have died down and it doesn't talk about games as much.
Here are some games worth mentioning:
- MarioKart DS: Fun multiplayer action; either on wifi or local. Can play this game for 24hours straight and not get bored. Probably one of the best in the mario kart series.
- Bomberman DS: Just tried this last night with local multiplayer and it was awesome. Those familiar with the previous bomberman series will pick up on this game right away, as it sticks to its original roots of gameplay. Some new items and some new maps. Can't wait to try this game with more people - 8 player action on dual screens!
- Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan!: Fun japanese rhythm game with catchy songs. Has very good replay value since there are 4 levels of difficulty that'll take some practicing to finish.
- Castlevania - Dawn of Sorrow: For me it was a hard game to put down once I started to play it. Lots of good puzzles, secret areas, and good use of the stylus pen.
- Rockman ZX: Only got the game recently and played the first few levels. I'm going to wait until the English version comes out as there is so much talk/reading in Japanese....don't know what's going on. Heard some pretty good reviews so far though.
What are some games you recommend?

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: I really enjoyed the game, its more a reading/suspense game then reflexes. I think of it as a interactive novel. Great idea, they should have came out with this game in North America when it started on the Gameboy. Highly Recommended
Cooking Mama: You just pick an item and cook. quick little receipes that doesn't take a loit of time to play. Like on short bus or subway rides. It'll appeal to some people.
Trauma Centre: Under the Knife: It is a surgery game, tests your accuracy and your reflexes. Can't wait for the Wii version! Highly Recommended
Lost Magic: Gets boring fast and the story doesn't move along quickly enough. The tasks you do are repetitive and the action isn't really that fun. Not recommended.
Edit: I like the idea of just having a game thread. I don't want to read pages and pages of mods/adpaters etc. This would be a great reference on people's view/recommendation on games.

I was going to try out this game since it's one of the few RPGs available for the DS right now. Guess I'll skip it and wait for Final Fantasy 3 instead...

I bought Trauma Center from EB Games. Apparently, just like Phoenix Wright it was in limited productions. I read on IGN.com that they are doing a second print run for Trauma Center as well as Phoenix Wright.

anyone seen Castlevania around? Futureshop doesn't list it online, none at walmart, local ebgames had none. Amazon.ca lists 1 copy for 99$!
Not sure why it's so bloody hard to find.

Well, the only place to get Trauma Center and Pheonix Wright is from EB or maybe Microplay since they are the only ones that import US printed games.
As for the second printing of the game, I believe Trauma Center already went and gone. I bought my copy 6 months ago at EB then a few months later they had more. And for Pheonix Wright, I was told by EB rep that the game was discontinued. (Part 2 is coming later this year).
Either way, I believe those games are totally worth it. Fun and addictive. Currently hooked on Pheonix Wright right now, but once I get my Trauma Center back I will be trying to finish that. 2 of my favourite games on DS.

I just d/l the demo of true swing golf at one of those download stations and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The use of the stylus is very similar to the trackball-style UI found in the arcade golf games.
Mario Kart DS is easily at the top of my list for best DS games. I will never tire of it.
I'm itching for the Starfox game when it hits end of next month (so I hear). Let's hope it has Wifi dogfights!
