Best point and shoot with 36 x zoom or more?

What is the best compact point and shoot around today with at least 36x zoom for taking shots and video, easy to carry around? I saw the Olympus PS 815UZ but the reviews are mixed. For example in macro mode, the camera struggles to lock into the subject in front of it if there is a background

There is no compact point and shoot with at least a 36x zoom. Anything with a zoom that long is bigger than compact.

The best superzoom P&S is the Panasonic FZ200.

Others are longer but none more well rounded.

You also have the Nikon P510 and Canon SX40 and SX50 (50x zoom) as contenders.

@toopence, which one did you buy? Would you share your experience?

I am currently struggling to choose between Canon SX50 and Panasonic FZ200. The Canon one has longer zoom, better at high ISO and $120 cheaper. But the Panasonic has constant f/2.8, which is good at shooting sports at zoom. Anyone has any experience with these two camera is also welcome for your sharing.
