Seems like money isn't a problem for you? If not maybe grab the new WD Black 2 TB or another 1.5 TB Green drive if that is too pricey? I don't think you'll need the Black to store games and run them off so maybe 2 1.5 TB Green should do the trick.
Games worth checking out would be Call of Duty Modern Warfare (original) and the sequel due out in a week. Give Need for Speed Shift a spin if you like racing games.

Best single 1TB or 1.5TB drive for games?
With my new build underway (HAF 922 on the way and my 1.5TB WD Green for media) I am wondering what high capacity hard drive I should get for games. I'm the type of person who would load his ENTIRE collection on the comp along with every console game made between 1985 and 2005 so that's why I want high capacity but what will give me reliability and performance?
Also, since I'm moving from a Radeon 9800 Pro (Shader Model 2.0) to a Radeon HD5850 (along with a system that will run anything out there to some degree), what games should I be looking at? I'm already planning Fallout 3, Bioshock, Crysis, Far Cry 2, Left 4 Dead and Boarderlands but what else is out there? Not a fan of online RPG's (massive or not)._______________

Money IS a deciding factor as well but I just decided to get the best of what I could for what I'm making right now (and selling my music gear). I'm getting stuff as it comes on sale but should have the whole system by the end of this month. I just want to spend wisely and make sure my money takes me far. I know for sure that I will upgrade the mobo early next year when Gigabyte releases their AMD boards with SATA3 and USB 3.0.

You might consider an SSD ... be way faster than a HD, though the space might be somewhat limited (not to say you'll have all the games installed at once). Otherwise a 2TB Black is the fastest HD at the moment (faster than Raptor also).
Budget/speed wise .. SSD (OCZ Vertex 120GB - $399) -> 2TB Black ($313) -> 1TB Black ($98)_______________

I think I'm looking at a 1T or 1.5T (if they have it at a decent price) black then. If I got SSD for anything, it would be a system disk.

Too bad the WD Green is such a dog, completely ruling it out for a gaming drive. It's great for a storage drive, though.
