What's the best site to get quick car insurance quotes?

That's what I found, too. The on-line quote was useless but the data I entered was useful when talking with an agent.

The on-line quotes were expensive and coverage could not be adjusted to what I wanted. Had I relied on the Web for my pricing I would not be with my current insurer, The Personal.

All three times I had shopped with Kanetix the quotes were bang on. Just be truthful and list all your infractions (if you have any??)

Cheapest is group insurance if you are a professional or University Alumni TD Melloche will give great rates usually.

I periodically do a quote online for myself and its never near what I'm paying or what the companies quotes are in reality...

Each firm has a different set of rules and tables. If you google around, there should be one set publicly available.

your age, driving history, insurance record, territory, type of vehicle etc etc are all used to determine your rate....

Same here.
When i was talking to the agent, they were telling me that most often people don't fill in their info accurately (some on purpose, some not). So just double check your info before submitting if you want an accurate quote. There's no reason for a bait and switch here folks.
